Having Problems in Class?? The best place to seek assistance in any class is directly through your teacher. Set up an appointment to see your teacher before or after school, between classes, or during Seminar to get the answers straight from the teacher assigning and assessing your work.
If the issues cannot be resolved, you have a problem with another student, or any other situation, you may schedule a visit with Mrs. Mahan, HS Counselor, or Mr. Schnable, HS Principal. All of the teachers, administrators and support staff are here to ensure that you have a positive high school experience.
Please remember that USD210 supports the No Bullying Policy at HHS and any incident must be reported immediately.
This website has a load of links that will allow users to access articles and resources related to issues that affect high school students every day, from test anxiety to acne and body image. The creators of this very full website have this to say about their mission: “ReconnectingU is dedicated to supporting the mental health and well being of individuals as they move through their personal transitions. By offering quality, accessible and affordable assistance services, our goal it to become a trusted resource in times of personal challenge and growth.”
This web address actually houses three sites in one. The PARENTS site offers “practical parenting information and news.” The KIDS site offers “homework help and [information about] how the body works.” The TEENS site offers “answers, advice and straight talk” about a variety of topics. The site is sponsored by the Nemours Foundation in association with many hospitals throughout the country. (Tambien, disponible en Espanol)
